Come with us. Back in time. Set the dial for 2007. Jon Hopkins is unknown to the general public. Spitz, in Spitalfields, is a charming, grimy hang out with a fantastic upstairs venue. A spritely Hopkins, is playing a tiny live show in said room to an audience of, maybe, fifty. We hit him early with the Pitch & Sync charm offensive, 10 minutes of over enthusiastic, lager fuelled promises and blushing praise. Anyway, we walked out of the 1st gig with Jon signed up to deliver a track for the Adidas, Of This Earth, All Blacks Rugby World Cup 2007 campaign.
Aah, it was all so simple back then. Fast forward to Jon Headlining Green Man Festival then Koko London, more back stage banter and Jon was on board again for our biggest sound identity project yet for Intel.
Jon’s headline shows continue to get bigger, this time it’s the mighty Brixton Academy, following more backstage banter and buy in, Jon becomes an advisory board member to The Sync Project, something we believe will change the world through music and medicine in a way thats never been seen before. A project we’re more than proud to be part of.
Yep, you guessed it, Jon’s one of the REALLY good guys and we love to support not only incredible talent but good people who you want to work with over and over.
